We strongly believe that gaming is heading down the same path as headphones and sneakers have previously taken. All things were originally based on function, in order to help people. Since then these items have become fashion-driven with functionality being taken for granted.
Gaming peripherals is by no means a new invention neither a new market. As e-sport has been experiencing double digit growth for the last 8 years the market has naturally boomed. And as gaming continues to grow in all age groups, reaching a larger and larger audience every year, diversification becomes more important.
Mionix does not perceive gamers to be teenagers that love “animal” branded, all black gaming peripherals. We see skaters, metal-heads, doctors, bikers – people from all walks of life that like to game, that care. A modern consumer that does not choose between function and fashion, but expects both.
The industry has been neglecting something far too long, something that for us is obvious. This is the very thing that Mionix brings to the gamer’s desktop.
We still see ourself as a start-up, a company with ridiculous high ambitions. We like to challenge the norm and reach for things that others deem unattainable. Setting trends in the here and now while extending into the future. That’s Mionix.
